A sense of deep peace and uncontainable joy
Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone because they were afraid. Mark 16:8
After a first moment of fear and apprehension, it was not easy for the men and women who were Jesus' disciples to express their experiences.
However, they always feel joy because Jesus is alive and with them again. This is what is new and fundamental.
They are reunited with Jesus, full of life.
The disciples are gathered with the one who had called them and whom they had abandoned.
Certainly, it will no longer be as before when they followed him on the roads of Palestine.
They will have to learn to live by faith.
They will have to learn to relate to Jesus in a new way.
They will have to remember his words and actualize his gestures.
But they are encouraged by the knowledge and feeling that Jesus is with them and that life goes on.
The disciples experience a sense of deep peace and uncontainable joy.
From this, peace and joy were born, the strength that urged them to pass on his message to others.
