Brazil, is the largest country in South America, the fifth in extension and the eighth largest economy in the world; a beautiful, lovely and amazing country. At the same time, Brazil is also a long process of unfinished social, political, and economic progress and struggle, a story in which the troubled legacy of the mixing of races and postcolonial political dysfunction persist to this day. In this context the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession-IECLB, an ELCA companion church, contributes with God´s Mission proclaiming the Gospel, serving the poor and needy, and advocating for justice and dignity.
